Key Features

Virtually Maintenance Free

Millboard composite decking contains no timber, nor any plastic! It’s totally non-porous – meaning it doesn’t absorb moisture, making it more stable than traditional decking or composites, & is highly stain resistant, spills won’t penetrate the surface!

No Mould, No Rot, No Algae

Because Millboard composite decking contains no timber fibres, there are no sugars to host mould or algae! Millboard composite decking is perfect for pools, beaches or wet areas where regular timber (or composites which typically contain timber or flour) will rot & decay over time.

Anti-slip, No Splinters & Natural Look

Millboard offers the highest Anti-Slip Rating available in Australia – P5. Safe for young feet – You will never get any splinters or grain lift – ever! Millboard decking is hand-moulded from original timber, then hand-coloured to recreate the warm authentic look of timber.

Environmentally Friendly

Not a single tree is chopped down to produce Millboard. Millboard decking is designed & hand crafted in the U.K. from a low energy classed process, as such Millboard is the sustainable choice in exterior decking.

Lost Head Top Fixing

No pre-drilling, no counter-sinking, no fiddly & expensive clipping system. Using Millboard’s stainless steel Durafix screws the unique Lastane material self-heals back over the fixing to leave a virtually indistiguishable mark.

Hard Wearing & Scratch Resistant

The tough Lastane® layer is highly scratch resistant and it’s inherent anti-abrasive qualities make a Millboard deck perfect for commercial or public applications where a demanding environment requires a resilient product.

Common Decking Questions

Millboard composite decking is hand-made in the United Kingdom & styled from real oak timbers, creating an incredible realistic look that captures the natural beauty of wood. But unlike traditional timber – which needs regular on-going maintenance like oiling & sanding to try and stave off rotting, mould, stains, warping, cupping, fading, splinters & a host of other undesirable effects – Millboard is totally different! This is because unlike traditional timber, or even conventional composite decking WPC (which typically contain half timber fibre / flours / rice husks & half plastic) – Millboard contains no timber, nor any plastic.

Millboard decking is extremely versatile and can be used to create not only beautiful decks, but also can be used for Cladding, both vertically and horizontally, for ceiling lining, steps, bridges, pontoons, balconies, planter boxes, gardens & so much more!

Of course! – If you would like a sample please contact us and we can send some samples out to you. Please let us know what colour and texture (Weathered Oak or Enhanced Grain) you are thinking about, and any other information about your upcoming project such as sqm2, residential or commerical etc. We can help with your choice and offer tips on getting the most out of Millboard. If you are an Architect, Specifier or a Builder we also have Architect’s Sample Packs available which showcase the full Millboard composite decking range.

Millboard is chemically inert & does not contain any timber so the boards will not absorb moisture, swell, warp or rot in the way that timber does. As such Millboard does not require any ventilation or minimum clearance from the ground making it perfect solution for ultra-low decks.

Millboard decking boards can be cut in much the same way as regular timber. We recommend a carbon tipped multipurpose saw. Plastic composite decking tends to blunt saw blades very quickly and be difficult screw & to work with – but with Millboard this isn’t a problem! Don’t forget that we have Touch Up Paint available in 500ml tins for colour matching exposed cut ends.

Fixing Millboard couldn’t be simpler! There are no fiddly and expensive clipping systems, no pre-drilling nor any countersinking required. Millboard decking is simply top fixed like real timber – But with an incredible “lost-head” hidden fixing. The Lastane(R) layer self heals over the screws to leave an near indistinguishable mark for a clean finish! After extensive testing we recommend and supply Durafix Stainless Steel screws for the best results. See videos of the screws disappearing.

With Millboard’s wide range of colours, you can choose what is best for you. As with all products, the darker colours will feel hotter underfoot in sunny exposed locations. If this is an issue, opt for lighter colours for such locations.

Yes! Millboards in the BS79.76 slip resistance tests both textures lead the industry with their high scoring anti-slip ratings – even in wet conditions! This is one of the reasons Millboard is so popular with councils as it meets and exceeds the requested anti-slip requirements for public use.

The Lastane(R) finish is highly resistant to scratches and food & drink stains.

Yes, Millboard is fire rated to Australian Standard BAL19
